Packing Professionals in Dubai

Most calls that come in for packing services in Dubai are not for full home moves. They are for a few fragile vases going abroad. A china set being moved into storage. A flat that was packed too fast last weekend and needs proper repacking before the new tenant arrives. Sometimes it is just packing materials, dropped at the door so the person can pack themselves.
Our Dubai packing services cover all of it. Whether you need professional packing services for a single carton of fragiles, materials-only delivery, unpacking after another company moved you in, packing before storage, or a full apartment or villa pack-out, the same trained Dar Al Salam crew handles the job with the same materials.
At Dar Al Salam Movers and Packers, packing is treated as its own job, not a tag-on to a move. The team that wraps your fragiles is trained for packing specifically, not the same labourers who later load the truck.
What Most Packing Service Calls in Dubai Are About

Calls fall into about five common shapes. Most are smaller than a full home pack.
Small fragile packing. Three vases, a crystal set, a framed painting heading to family in London or Toronto. The team brings the materials, packs the items at your dining table in 30 to 60 minutes, and leaves you with a few clearly labelled cartons. No minimum crew charge.
Materials only. You are doing the packing yourself but you do not want to spend Saturday hunting for sturdy boxes. WhatsApp a list of what you need (small, medium, large cartons, wardrobe boxes, packing paper, bubble wrap, tape) and we deliver the same evening across most of Dubai.
Unpacking a finished move. Movers got everything to the new place but a week later you are still living out of boxes. A small team comes for half a day, unwraps everything, places each item where you want it, and takes the empty cartons away. We do not need to have been the original packers.
Packing before storage. The packing has to last longer than a standard move pack. Boxes get reinforced, every item gets full wrap, and the inventory list is detailed enough to find one item six months later without unpacking the whole pallet.
Full apartment or villa pack. The crew arrives in the morning, packs room by room, labels every box, and hands you a signed inventory before the truck leaves. We cover that job in detail below.

With a flat price which includes all packing materials and physical labor to pack your items, we are Dubai’s most affordable packing service. Let us pack and move you so you can focus on your destination. More on our Moving Tips here:
Should You Book Packing for the Day Before, or Move Day?
Most customers pack the day before. It is calmer.
If you pack on move day, the crew arrives at 7am, packs until around 1pm, then loading begins. The total day runs nine to ten hours. If you pack the day before, the home is ready by the evening, and a smaller crew is back at 7am the next morning for loading only, with the truck on its way by 9 or 10am.
Last-minute bookings can be same-day or next-day if a crew is free. Call us with the address and a quick description, and you will hear back inside the hour.
What's Included in Your Packing Services Quote
The quote covers crew, all packing materials, the inventory list, and basic transit insurance. Specifically:
- All cartons in every size needed
- All wrapping (stretch film, bubble wrap, tissue, foam sheets)
- Quilted blankets, edge protectors, floor runners
- Tape, markers, and labels
- The crew’s time from arrival to the last sealed box
- A written inventory list signed off by you
Not in the standard quote: piano packing, pool table dismantling, plant transport, fish tanks, hazardous materials (paint, gas cylinders, chemicals), and live pets. These can be arranged with the move coordinator before the booking. If the booking also covers the full move, curtain installation and TV mounting come bundled at the new property, with a next-day install if the building cuts drilling after 10pm.
How to Book Our Dubai Packing and Moving Team
Call the move coordinator now for an immediate price, WhatsApp a quick video of your home (or a photo of the items if it is a small job) for a fixed quote inside the hour, or fill in the quotation form and we will call you back within 30 minutes. The last week of every month is the busiest for moving and packing jobs in Dubai. Book the Dar Al Salam team at least one weeks ahead for end-of-lease moves. Marina, JLT, and Business Bay weekend slots fill by Wednesday.
How a Full Home Packing Job Works From Walkthrough to Last Box
The day starts with a walkthrough of every room before a single carton is sealed.
The Walkthrough Before the First Box
The crew lead walks through the home with you in the first 15 to 20 minutes. Marble dining tables get noted for custom crating. Chandeliers get flagged for dismantling. We also confirm what you want left out for the last night (toothbrush, phone charger, clothes, meds) so those go in a clearly marked “open first” box that rides up front in the truck.
Anything fragile or high-value is photographed before it is wrapped. The photo goes into the job report, so if anything is damaged in transit later, there is a clear record of how it left your property. A typical Dubai packing company will quote a price over the phone without seeing the home. We do not. The survey is what makes the price hold.

The Day Itself, Room by Room
Packing runs in a fixed order: kitchen first, bathrooms second, living areas third, bedrooms last. Kitchens hold the most fragiles, so they get the most time and care, not a rush job at the end.
A 2-bedroom apartment in Dubai Marina or JVC takes around five to six hours with a three-person crew. A 4-bedroom villa in Arabian Ranches or Mirdif runs eight to ten hours with a four to five-person crew. You can pack the day before the move or on move day itself. Pricing is the same.
Labelling So Night One Is Not a Disaster
Every box gets labelled twice, on the top and the side, so you can read it whether it is stacked or standing. The label has the room it came from, the room it goes to, and a one-line summary of what is inside.
Boxes are also numbered against an inventory list. You get a copy before the truck leaves your old property. If anything is missing at the new home, you know within five minutes which numbered box to check.
The Packing Materials We Bring on Every Job
For a 2-bedroom apartment, the team arrives with around 40 to 60 cartons. For a villa, anywhere from 100 to 180. You do not buy anything. Materials are part of the quote.
The standard kit includes:
- 3-ply double-wall cartons (small, medium, large, wardrobe)
- Wardrobe boxes with hanging rails for clothes on hangers
- Industrial stretch film for sofas and mattresses
- Quilted moving blankets for wooden furniture and appliances
- Foam sheets, bubble wrap, and tissue paper for fragiles
- Heavy-duty corrugated rolls for edge protection
- Floor runners for both properties
- Edge protectors for furniture corners
For a materials-only delivery, the same items are available in smaller quantities. Send the list on WhatsApp or call us for a flat delivery price across Dubai.
How Much Do Moving and Packing Services in Dubai Cost?
Packing in Dubai is priced as a flat job, not by the hour. The quote covers labour, materials, and the inventory list.
Small Jobs and Materials Only
For a few items (typically under ten boxes), we work on a flat per-job rate of around AED 300 to AED 600, with no minimum crew charge. WhatsApp a quick description of the items and the area, and a fixed price comes back inside the hour. Materials-only delivery is priced by what you need, with a flat delivery charge inside the city.
Full Apartment and Villa Packs
- 1-bedroom apartment: AED 800 to 1,200
- 2 to 4-bedroom apartment: AED 1,400 to 2,200
- 4-bedroom villa: AED 2,500 to 3,500
- 5-bedroom villa and above: AED 3,500 to 6,500
The lower end of each range is for homes with normal contents. The upper end is for homes packed tight with multiple wardrobes worth of clothes, full kitchens, and large fragile items.
What Pushes the Price Up or Down
Marble tables, large mirrors, chandeliers, and grand pianos need custom crating that adds AED 150 to 300 per piece. Booking a weekday outside the last week of the month is cheaper because crew availability is wider. Partial packing (we handle only the fragiles, you do the soft items yourself) drops the figure by 30 to 40 percent.
Every moving and packing job runs on a closed box 3-ton truck built for moving, so the load stays shielded from sun, dust, and rain. That matters most in summer (June to September) when an open vehicle hits 65°C inside by midday.
How We Pack the Items That Usually Get Damaged
Most damage in a Dubai move happens to four things: marble tables, TV screens, chinaware, and framed artwork.
Marble dining tables are dismantled where possible. The top gets a foam sheet, then quilted blankets, then a cardboard crate built around it. Marble is loaded flat in the truck, never on its edge. A standing marble top will crack on a road bump.
TVs go in their original box if you have it. If not, the crew builds a cardboard crate around the screen with foam padding on all four sides and tape across the face in a star pattern. Chinaware gets packed one item at a time, each glass with tissue stuffed inside before wrapping. Framed artwork travels standing upright in the truck, padded on both sides.
Every move includes basic transit insurance. For artwork, antiques, or large marble pieces above a certain value, additional coverage can be arranged before the job.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, we cover small packing jobs all the time. Three vases, a glass set, a few framed pictures, or a single fragile dining set are all flat per-job rates with no minimum crew charge. Send a WhatsApp message with what you have and the area, and the move coordinator quotes a fixed price the same hour.
Yes. Send a list of what you need (cartons in small, medium, large, plus tape, bubble wrap, packing paper) on WhatsApp or call the move coordinator and we deliver the same evening across most of Dubai. The price depends on the kit size, and there is no minimum order for anything inside the city.
Yes, plenty of jobs are exactly this. The crew comes for half a day, unwraps everything, places each item in the room you want it in, and takes all the empty cartons and wrapping away. We do not need to have been the original packers. Fill the quotation form with the property size and the number of rooms still in boxes, and the figure comes back fast.
Around five to six hours with a three-person crew. The kitchen takes the longest because of the fragiles. If you want it done faster, we can send a four-person team and finish in about four hours for a small extra charge on labour.
Three things. The crew that packs your home is trained for packing specifically, not the same labourers who later load the truck. Every fragile is photographed before it is wrapped so damage in transit is documented from the start. And the price you see in the quote is the price you pay, with no add-on charges on move day for wardrobe boxes, tape, or extra labour.
For a weekday job in the middle of the month, three to five days is enough. For an end-of-month move or a weekend slot, book one weeks ahead. The last weekend of every month and the first weekends after both Eids are the busiest of the year, so crews book up early.
